Hotjar
Overview
A website tool that records visitor sessions and creates heatmaps showing where people click, move, and scroll.
General use
Marketers and designers use it to watch how real visitors use a page, spot confusing spots, and gather feedback to improve conversion.
Insight
Useful for a quick gut sense of how people use a page through recordings and heatmaps, especially early on. It only samples a share of your traffic on lower plans, so you miss things, and watching recordings is slow work with weak evidence. It shows what happened, not why. Best as a supplement to real analytics, not a source of hard numbers.
